In undergoing the assessment process, Ventia proudly pledged its commitment to the cause by signing the Veteran Employment Commitment (VEC).

By doing so, it publicly claimed corporate dedication to providing opportunities for Australia’s veterans and fostering an environment where their skills are valued and they can continue to excel in their career outside the military.

The company has stated it will recognise that people are at the heart of its success, maintain commitment to diversity and inclusion, including most recently winning the Northern Territory government’s Veteran Employer of the Year Award.

Ventia has further solidified its commitment to supporting veterans this year by entering into a three-year partnership with Invictus Australia.

Through this collaboration, it will aim to empower military veterans and their families through sports, aligning with the companies’ broader diversity and inclusion strategy that prioritises the health, well-being, and engagement of broader employee cohort.

“The wealth of knowledge that veterans bring to the private sector is highly valued at Ventia. We seek to employ and utilise the skills they bring to our Defence clients and team,” Ventia’s Defence team executive general manager, John Rogers, said.

“Their deep understanding of the client and fantastic work ethic enhances our services and capabilities.”

“This recognition of our Veteran, Reservist and Defence Family Member program fills us with immense pride.

“Our status as a Veteran Employer of Choice further strengthens our mission to providing meaningful employment opportunities for veterans and their families.”
