The global defence contractor has reported changes to its senior leadership team, naming a new EVP to head up its missile and fire control operations.

Tim Cahill has been appointed as Lockheed Martin’s new executive vice president, missiles and fire control (MFC), effective from 1 November.
Cahill currently serves as Lockheed Martin’s senior vice president, global business development and strategy.
The new appointee previously served as senior vice president of Lockheed Martin International and vice president, integrated air and missile defense systems for MFC.
Cahill’s work has included supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, PAC-3, and Medium Extended Air Defense System programs.
The incoming EVP, MFC — who joined the company in January 1995 following a career in the US Air Force — has also held senior roles at Lockheed Martin Space.
“Tim is a strategic leader with the right combination of experience to enable the future growth of our missiles and fire control business,” Lockheed Martin chief operating officer Frank St. John said.
“He is known for building strong, collaborative relationships with team members and customers alike, and I look forward to what he will bring to not only MFC, but also our customers who rely on us for their critical missions.”
Cahill replaces Scott Greene, who is set to retire at the end of the year after more than 41 years of service to the company.
Greene is expected to assume a role as a strategic adviser to the chief operating officer from 1 November to the end of 2022 to support the leadership transition.
Reflecting on his appointment, Cahill welcomed the opportunity to lead the MFC division into the next phase of development.
“I am honoured to be part of the exceptional MFC team of more than 20,000 employees dedicated to supporting our customers’ mission with our innovative products and solutions,” he said.
“The future of MFC is bright and we look forward to playing an important role in delivering 21st century security integrated solutions to our US and allied customers around the world.”
News of Cahill’s appointment in the global business comes just a day after Lockheed Martin Australia announced the retirement of Neale Prescott, long-serving international business development director, rotary and missions systems.
Prescott has been replaced by Kendell Kuczma, whose appointment is effective immediately.
