J3Seven showcased their CBRN-threat protection offerings at Indo Pacific 2022 this week, partnering with Environics and SEC Technologies to bring their CBRN solutions to the Australian market.

Currently, Environics has installed their solutions on 120 ships over the last three decades while SEC boasts the “only combat-proven active standoff CB detection in the market”.
According to the company, CBRN solutions are essential for military platforms since these usually cannot be seen and are therefore often overlooked.
“CBRN does not discriminate between land and sea missions. Over the last 10 years, Defence has equipped land forces with CBRN detection and mitigation capability, but the Navy has not invested at the same level. Raising the bar in this technology space would enhance protection for our sailors and fleet,” Gareth Molnar, chief executive officer of J3Seven, said.
“The threat is real and imminent. CBRN is a whole new level of warfare. As we move into the next decade, preparation and protection on water, as well as on land, should be paramount in Defence’s mind.”
According to the company, J3Seven’s detection capabilities can identify CBRN threats from 6 kilometres away – giving Australian warfighters time to protect themselves and their colleagues.
“J3Seven’s driving philosophy is to bring next generation technology into Australia to protect those who serve,” says Molnar. “Leveraging our extensive in-field experience and global knowledge networks, we have created a CBRN manufacturing centre in Australia to deliver large-scale solutions that can be sustained onshore and in our ports.”
