Under the contract, BAE will deliver Seahawk preservation services, on aircraft maintenance support to the Army’s Black Hawk fleet and off aircraft repairable item support for a number of helicopter platforms.
BAE has been supporting the Seahawks at their Nowra site since 1993.
BAE Systems Australia director aerospace Steve Drury said, “We are a longstanding provider of military aircraft sustainment services to the ADF across a range of platforms.
“We have been able to bring to this program a number of initiatives that have resulted in significant savings, while at the same time ensuring increased fleet availability for the RAN.”
Since the signing of the Seahawk Support Contract in 2009, BAE has provided in excess of 200,000 hours of aircraft maintenance support, supporting the RAN to help keep Australia safe.
