In light of recent terror attacks, both in Australia and around the world, national security has never been more pressing. As a country we face many threats. Australian foreign policy is influenced by rising global instability. At home, cyberattacks are becoming more aggressive.
And the need to protect ourselves against home-grown insurgents and secure critical infrastructure has never been greater.
This year’s, 15th annual National Security Summit will be themed: Policy, coordination and stability. It will review Australia’s role in peace-keeping, assess the key advancements in Defence capability, and look at the connection between border protection, immigration, and terrorism.
This policy-driven agenda will feature keynotes from the principal government agencies, in-depth analysis from leading academics and esteemed think-tanks, and international perspectives on issues such as biological threats, and human security.
