Significant potential exists for Australian manufacturing and technology companies to supply to defence procurement. The Australian Government has committed to spending $195 billion in new defence equipment in land, sea and air over 10 years. The potential spend on sustainment over a further 20 years is estimated at $785 billion.
The Government has also made a commitment to sourcing as much as it can from Australian Industry.
