Australia-France Defence Industry Symposium in Adelaide

The inaugural Australia-France Defence Industry Symposium (Symposium) will be held on 24 September 2018 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Symposium will be co-hosted by Australian Minister for Defence, Christopher Pyne, and French Minister for the Armed Forces, Florence Parly.

The Symposium provides the opportunity to deepen bilateral defence industry cooperation and for industry to gather to identify complementary capabilities. It brings together senior ministers from France and Australia, state and territory representatives, defence industry players, and peak industry bodies.

Keynote speakers and panellists will include:

Australian Minister for Defence Christopher Pyne;
French Minister for the Armed Forces Florence Parly;
Airbus Head of Asia Pacific Region Pierre Jaffre;
Global Head of Naval Group Herve Guillou;
CEO of Thales Australia Chris Jenkins; and
senior Australian Department of Defence representatives including Rear Admiral Gregory Sammut, Head Future Submarine Program.

The event will serve to highlight the strong partnership between our two nations and showcase the growing engagement between Australian and French defence industry.
