Jon Black - Managing Director TAFE NSW to present.
Jon’s distinctive career includes a 25 year tenure as a senior Army officer where he has gained a wealth of leadership proficiency and held positions such as Commanding Officer at the Royal Military College, Duntroon and Executive Director for Training Management.
When leaving the Army Jon transitioned into the water and utilities sector including as Chief Executive of Unitywater. From there he commenced a senior state government career where he held positions such as Director-General for the Departments of Environment and Heritage Protection, and for Energy and Water Supply in QLD. In 2015 Jon took up the leadership of TAFE NSW, a $2.5bn organisation that trains ca. 500,000 students each year across NSW and is currently undertaking a major transformation.
