SimGOV is an entire government initiative formed with the purpose to discuss the use of simulation and modelling across the public sector, in addition to looking at business continuity and collaborative agency incident response to develop Future Ready agencies. SimGOV is for federal, state and local government agencies to look at operational risk management and how to apply it to their operations. Effective decision-making is underpinned by excellent quality information. Future outcomes are improved by implementing lessons learnt. This inaugural SimGOV forum provides case studies using modelling, simulation and gaming. Participants will understand how to improve decision-making prior to a major procurement and training strategies for operations and teams in low probable high-risk situations. The Future Ready forum focuses on raising the awareness of modelling and simulation applications and the benefits for a strategic 10-year plan. This SimGOV forum is the first in a series of four.
