Babcock Australasia has officially opened its first Canberra office, located not far from Parliament House.

The defence, aviation, and critical services firm has taken out office space in Engineering House at 11 National Circuit, Barton, giving it easy access to government customers and industry stakeholders around Capital Hill. The office will support its recent winning high-frequency communications upgrade (JP 9101) bid, as well as corporate services.
“Our Canberra office opening signifies a coming of age for Babcock Australasia and is testament to our growth in the Australasia region,” said Babcock Australasia chief executive officer David Ruff.
“We’re incredibly proud Babcock has grown to a truly national presence. We recognise the huge growth opportunities in Australia and the wider Australasia region, particularly with the once-in-a-generation opportunities from the AUKUS trilateral partnership.
“With a large presence across Australasia and globally, Babcock is uniquely placed to support Australia deliver the capability required to keep the nation and the wider Indo-Pacific region safe and secure.”
Babcock now has a location in every mainland state and territory, with offices in Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, and sites at Henderson in Western Australia, Darwin, and Townsville. The firm employs more than 1,600 skilled staff around the country.
Babcock International Group CEO David Lockwood said Australasia is key to the company’s global strategy.
“Australasia is one of Babcock’s fundamental growth engines. Our purpose is to create a safe and secure world, together, and we will continue to play a key role in Australia to support peace and stability in the Indo Pacific region,” he said.
