The group expects that the centre will offer leading rescue and disaster training for emergency services personnel from across the globe.
The centre will be based in north-eastern Australia, which regularly battles with natural disasters including floods, wildfires, storms, cyclones, heatwaves, and droughts.
The centre will offer emergency services personnel with access to leading facilities, equipment and personnel, James Baker, the group’s director of services, said.
“First responders from around the globe will be able train in the latest cutting-edge search and rescue techniques at a bespoke training centre,” Baker outlined.
“But we know that disasters affect everyone, not just Australians, as climate change increases the impact and frequency of natural disasters around the globe, not just ‘down under’. We believe there are no borders when it comes to saving lives.”
The centre will offer training to emergency services personnel from across the globe.
“The group has international experience operating in, and training for water, air and land rescue around the globe, and European emergency responders will have access to the education centre,” Baker added.
“We are currently investigating potential sites and partners in South East Queensland and northern New South Wales – home to some of the worst recent natural disasters of cyclones, flooding and fires – based on accessibility to air, water and land training assets.”
The company, based in Brisbane, has experience across the globe in public safety training and operations.
