ADA’s LEGEAR and Salomon announced that they have committed to support the Veteran Games with a gold sponsorship, acknowledging the importance of the initiative to improve veteran mental health and wellbeing.

The Veteran Games is a proactive health initiative launched following the release of findings from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veterans Suicide, with a goal of improving the lives of current and future generations of veterans.
Held on 17 and 18 August in the Gold Coast, teams of eight with two reserves will undertake an array of physical and problem-solving tasks.
Devastatingly, over 1,600 Australian veterans have lost their lives to suicide over the last two decades.
“At ADA, our mission is to equip those who serve and protect,” Chris Dixon, chief executive officer of ADA, said. “LEGEAR’s co-sponsorship of the Veteran Games with Salomon is a natural extension of that mission, and we feel privileged to be helping veterans thrive in their post-service lives.”
The companies will also provide support to veterans and volunteers throughout the games, providing volunteers and a participating team with Salomon footwear. LEGEAR will also provide tactical gear for athlete gifts and set up a recovery station.
“We are incredibly proud to support the Veteran Games and the wellbeing of our veterans,” said Jason Semple, general manager of LEGEAR. “The event provides a crucial platform for camaraderie, support, and healing. It’s a true honour to be a part of this important initiative alongside Salomon.”
