An initial program of work was awarded to Clearbox Systems, a KBR company which has successfully designed and implemented a remote, centralised monitoring and control system for the Earth stations located across Australia.

Clearbox Systems’ role continues to focus on the provision of remote, centralised operation of SATCOM ground and space assets in Australia and overseas and aggregating operation of these assets.

The contract aligns with KBR’s recent MINERVA (SEA 2273) contract wherein the company is equipping the Royal Australian Navy with a more modern fleet information environment.

“We have brought together the best of Clearbox Systems’ capabilities with KBR’s world-leading Deployed ICT skills,” said Nic Maan, KBR vice-president GS APAC.

“Our solution will provide Defence with more efficient, secure, and capable communications.”
