Australian Army profession, mobilisation, littoral manoeuvre, quantum, autonomy and counter autonomy topics are all expected to be covered under the Australian Army Research Centre invitation, published through AusTender, for the Army Research Scheme for 2024.
The tender was published on 14 August and closes on 27 September.
“The Australian Army Research Centre is inviting organisations to register to undertake paid research on topics as part of the Army Research Scheme that will inform future land force development and modernisation,” according to the Department of Defence.
“The research outcomes sought are either articles (4,000 to 6,000 words) or stand-alone papers (up to 20,000 words).
“Army will facilitate publication of research in the first instance in either the Australian Army Journal or the Army Research Papers Series.”
Research categories include the state of Australian Army profession – the past, present, and futures, as well as mobilisation, littoral manoeuvre, quantum, autonomy and counter autonomy.
Additional areas of interest include the 2023 Defence Strategic Review and the 2024 National Defence Strategy, civil preparedness, civil-military-police cooperation.
