QinetiQ Australia has announced an enhanced collaboration between industry leaders and academia via a new partnership with the Australian Maritime College as part of Team TECSA.

Team TECSA, led by QinetiQ, confirmed its new partnership with AMC Search, the training and consultancy division of the Australian Maritime College (AMC). AMC Search is a leading provider of maritime training, professional engineering and test and evaluation services.
Leveraging the full capabilities of AMC, their expertise spans naval architecture, hydrodynamics, underwater collision and materials assessment, advanced power simulations and surface and subsurface autonomous maritime systems.
Gary Stewart, chief executive of QinetiQ’s Australia Sector, welcomed this announcement, saying, “We’re excited for AMC Search to join Team TECSA.”
AMC Search is set to play a pivotal role in Team TECSA’s mission to build the workforce and infrastructure necessary to rapidly enhance Australia’s defence capabilities.
Stewart added, “Their expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our ability to deliver essential Test and Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance (TECSA) capabilities, one of the Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities, to defence.”
Since its inception, Team TECSA has made significant strides, uniting key players from industry and academia to address the evolving Defence needs outlined in the National Defence Strategy.

Currently, Team TECSA includes a range of industry and academic partners, including BMT, Flinders University, UNSW, Adroita, Shoal, Swinburne University, AeroPM, and Ascent.
