Milrem Robotics announces collaborative agreement with Electro Optic Systems

United Arab Emirates–Estonian robotic vehicle manufacturer Milrem Robotics has announced a collaboration agreement with Canberra-based remote weapon system developer Electro Optic Systems.

United Arab Emirates–Estonian robotic vehicle manufacturer Milrem Robotics has announced a collaboration agreement with Canberra-based remote weapon system developer Electro Optic Systems.

The agreement was announced on the sidelines of the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025 in Abu Dhabi this week.

"Together, we will develop and integrate advanced unmanned ground systems (UGS) and payloads for military applications," according to a statement from Milrem Robotics.

"This agreement reflects our shared commitment to innovation. Through close collaboration, we aim to initiate new projects, test emerging use cases, and enhance the capabilities of our respective products."

Milrem's THeMIS unmanned combat system is equipped with EOS's R400 remote weapon system.

"EOS remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation, delivering state-of-the-art remote weapon systems that enhance the effectiveness and safety of UGV operations," according to EOS.

"Our collaboration with Milrem Robotics brings together proven capabilities, integrating the EOS R400 with the Milrem THeMIS to provide a powerful, field-ready solution.

"By working together, we strengthen our commitment to supporting key defence initiatives in the United Arab Emirates and other strategic markets."
