Advanced defence technology company Advent Atum has established a firm foothold in Ukraine as the company commits to strengthening Ukraine’s air defence.
The company has officially established Advent Atum Ukraine LLC and signalling its intentions to deliver next-generation technology to upgrade and enhance Ukraine’s air defence capabilities.
It’s understood the company is now registered in both Australia and Ukraine, making it one of the first companies to register a subsidiary there.
“We’re all in,” according to Andy Wilson, CEO of Advent Atum and General Director of Advent Atum Ukraine LLC.
“This isn’t just another contract or partnership—this is about standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine and delivering the most advanced autonomous fire control and threat engagement systems to protect its skies.
“We’re embedding ourselves here to work alongside those in harm’s way, ensuring they have the best possible tools to win.”
The announcement following the recent third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion and a recent large scale drone assault (involving 270 drones launched at Kyiv) in the country.
The move also follows announcements from the Australian Government regarding the reopening of the Australian Embassy in Kyiv and decisions to send 49 M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, late last year.
“Advent Atum pioneered this movement earlier last year by establishing a presence in Ukraine, following in the footsteps of EOS and DroneShield, which supplied Slinger and electronic warfare systems to counter drone threats,” according to the company.
“Now, more Australian companies are stepping up to support Ukraine, reinforcing Australia’s role as a key defence partner.
“Advent Atum is here to make that happen. With operations now firmly established in both Australia and Ukraine and receiving the all clear from Defence Export last year for HORAS TDE - DDS, we are fully committed to delivering the cutting-edge technology that will shape the future of Ukraine’s air defence to protect Ukraine's civilian population and critical infrastructure.”
