Conroy opens new DroneShield office in defence industry milestone

“A big thank you to the Hon Pat Conroy MP for helping DroneShield celebrate the opening of our new office and officially cutting the ribbon to mark this milestone,” according to a company statement regarding the event.

“As an Australian company operating for over a decade, we’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings in a small office with just a handful of staff.

“Our team remains dedicated to advancing cutting-edge counter drone technologies vital to modern warfare.

“This milestone is as much about our incredible team as it is about the ‘bricks and mortar’ of our new office. A huge thanks to all who’ve been part of this journey. We’re excited to continue innovating and contributing to Australia’s defence sector.”

The company previously received almost $59,000 to acquire two spectrum analysers for use in developing radio frequency (RF) detection and RF finding sensors used in anti-drone and electronic warfare systems, under a Defence Global Competitiveness (DGC) and Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority (SICP) grant program last year.

Conroy, the Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Delivery as well as Minister for International Development and the Pacific, has previously outlined increased commitment to growth the domestic defence industry.
