A total of 29 individual and group winners were chosen from a pool of 248 finalists, while the highest-scoring individual category winner took home the prestigious Excellence Award trophy.

This year, systems engineer at Nova Systems, Sue Scott was conferred the Excellence Award, after she won the Engineer and Technician of the Year award earlier in the evening.

Over 900 members of the defence industry attended the gala ceremony and let their hair down, networked with other professionals, and cheered for their peers.

The mood was light with laughter throughout the evening as Australian stand-up comedian and television and radio presenter Dave Thornton provided the entertainment.
