Nova Systems has moved its headquarters into inner-city Adelaide to support expanding growth in the South Australian defence engineering services and technology solutions company.

Nova has made the move from its Mile End site to a centrally located, newly fit-out, open-plan office located at 169 Pirie Street.

The company has recently adopted a “ways of working” approach such as flexible dress code and no meeting half day to give employees new options to support their lives and wellbeing.

Nova Systems chief executive officer Jim McDowell said the company’s new Adelaide headquarters was a significant move for the business.

“Our Adelaide office move is a really exciting step forward for Nova Systems as we relocate into newer and more modern premises at a time when the business continues to rapidly expand in Australia — and across the world,” McDowell said.

“Nova Systems is continuously recruiting and looking for the best and brightest minds to support our mission to ensure Australia remains safe and secure and we hope our new office space in the heart of the city is another reason to entice people to work with us.

“Nova Systems continues to strive to be an employer of choice, so our people are supported and thrive.”

The company was originally founded in Adelaide during 1999 by veterans Jim Whalley and Peter Nikoloff, growing from two staff to more than 650 people across Australia.

It has offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, and Newcastle, as well as in New Zealand, Singapore, Norway, the UK, and Ireland.
