Under the contract, UGL, a member of the CIMIC Group, will deliver all maintenance and operations services throughout the Defence fuel network.
It also covers the delivery of asset advice, assurance, and ADF fuel supply management.
The contract is expected to generate half a billion dollars in revenue over six years, with the company confirming the option for performance-based extension through to 2035.
The contract is scheduled to commence in August and support 350 jobs.
“CIMIC Group companies have delivered significant projects and services across major Army, Air Force and naval bases throughout Australia, including some of the nation’s most complex infrastructure and warship refit and repair services,” Juan Santamaria, CIMIC Group executive chairman, said.
“We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with ADF by bringing together this experience with UGL’s capabilities in energy, resources, logistics, operations, and maintenance to deliver an effective and collaborative solution.”
UGL will use the contract to support local businesses and First Nations people, UGL managing director Doug Moss added.
“I’m pleased that we’ll be able to offer local supplier and employment opportunities across the country, as well as continuing our commitment to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and supplier engagement.”
