Create high confidence project schedules with IPRI’s Managing Schedule Risk Course focusing on root causes of slippage, schedule risk analysis and estimation uncertainty.
Managing Schedule Risk (MSR) Course
The MSR Course will teach you how to apply a simple yet effective thought model to identify root causes that drive schedule overruns of projects. You’ll work through exercises based on real-world risks and issues and you’ll learn how to incorporate these risks, issues and estimation uncertainty into your schedule. The two-day virtual course covers scheduling best practices and how to use Monte Carlo simulation to assess the probability or confidence of meeting major milestone dates.
The course is taught by two highly experienced instructors who enjoy teaching this course and who consistently earn praise from students for their enthusiastic delivery, clear explanations and welcoming attitudes.
What previous students have said
“The instructors were highly knowledgeable, explained the concepts very well and kept the course interesting.”
“The course was extremely well presented and the real-world examples were relevant and helpful.”
“As an engineer and project manager, this course has highlighted areas for me to keep an eye on when managing product delivery.”

Our assessment framework has been proven through more than 50 reviews of defence projects across the aerospace, maritime, land, telecommunications, information technology, electronic systems, and training environments.
What previous project leaders have said:
“The SCRAM reviews on the F-35 Program were extremely helpful to us. SCRAM gave us new techniques that allowed us to better understand the complexities of our software development. Within two weeks of coming in, the SCRAM reviews were able to point out areas where we were going to have problems. SCRAM also gave us new techniques for measuring the progress of software development and for predicting how long the software development was going to take. In 2014, I briefed the SCRAM results to the Defense Acquisition Board. Of all the organizations that were making estimates, the SCRAM estimates, in hindsight, were the most accurate.”
Lt. Gen. Chris Bogdan, Program Executive Officer, F-35 Program (24 Mar 2017)
