Jones joins our line-up of headliners, including Virgin Galactic, the commander overseeing the US Space Force’s Indo-Pacific team, the new head of Australia’s own Space Command, along with the head of the Australian Space Agency.

Kristyn E Jones, who has been acting in the role since taking over the position in March last year, is also the principal adviser to the Air Force Chief of Staff and Chief of Space Operations on all financial matters.

She is responsible for providing financial management and analytical services necessary for the effective and efficient use of the Department of the Air Force resources.

This includes directing the development of the Air Force program and budget, overseeing the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency’s acquisition and operational cost analysis, providing analytical services, and conducting Air Force accounting and finance operations.

Prior to her current government service, Jones was a managing director in KPMG’s Federal Advisory practice, where she supported the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and other federal clients. She has also held various government positions.

The summit includes multiple keynote addresses on the state of the space industry and new opportunities for the sector to become a driving force in the Australian economy.

Divided into four key pillars of the space industry, it will cover topics such as strengthening aerospace ties between Australia, the US, and the UK under the AUKUS alliance; how Australia is shaping the ASEAN space landscape; and the industry’s plans to find another 15,000 workers by 2030.

It will delve into the challenges and opportunities in hypersonic technology, defence strategy for the space domain, and space-specific cyber security approaches and frameworks to protect space assets in the digital age.

During the summit, attendees can network and exchange ideas with industry leaders, innovative companies, peers, and colleagues.
