The South Australian government has launched a job exposition to attract students to emerging industries in the state, including defence and space.

Over 120 of the state’s leading businesses will take part in the exposition that will kick off in Adelaide on 10 November before moving to Port Augusta and Murray Bridge later in the month.
Representatives from tertiary institutions including the University of South Australia, the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and TAFE SA will also take part in the event.
Representing the defence and space sector are primes including BAE Systems, Babcock, Boeing Defence Australia, Lockheed Martin and Naval Group.
High-tech advanced manufacturing will be a key focus as the defence and shipbuilding industries transition into this futuristic area.
South Australia will be home to an $89 billion continuous build program of naval shipbuilding projects, including Australia’s Future Submarines, Future Frigates and Offshore Patrol Vessels, which together are expected to create around 5,200 jobs by the mid-to-late-2020s.
