Sydney-based Saber Astronautics has officially welcomed Infostellar as the latest member of the company’s SATCOM marketplace.
Infostellar’s satellite ground station network will enhance Saber’s award-winning Responsive Space Operations Centre (RSOC) program.
The RSOC serves as Saber’s mission control platform, providing spaceflight operations and traffic management support. With mission control centres located in Australia and Colorado, the RSOC operates on a global “follow-the-sun” model to ensure seamless satellite operations. It features an open SATCOM marketplace, allowing satellite operators to choose scalable services tailored to their needs.
Dr Jason Held, CEO of Saber Astronautics, welcomed the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Infostellar to the RSOC program and our SATCOM marketplace. The addition of their satellite ground station network will strengthen our satellite operations services. I greatly look forward to further collaborations with the Japanese space ecosystem!”
Infostellar brings a comprehensive global network of satellite ground stations to the partnership. Their services include satellite downlinks for remote sensing and space science, uplinks for spacecraft command operations, and real-time telemetry, tracking and control (TT&C) for spacecraft health and welfare.
Naomi Kurahara, CEO of Infostellar, added, “We are excited to partner with Saber Astronautics and to join their RSOC Program and SATCOM marketplace. Adding Infostellar’s Ground Station Network will enable a new generation of satellite operators to access Infostellar’s unique and innovative cloud-based satellite ground segment services solution based on Infostellar’s proprietary StellarStation platform and complementing Saber Astronautics’ satellite operations.”
Offering S-Band, X-Band, and Ka-Band capabilities, along with a robust terrestrial backbone, Infostellar ensures fast and efficient delivery of customer payload data.
This collaboration extends the reach of satellite communications to support a wide range of clients in defence, commercial and research sectors. By joining RSOC’s network of commercial space providers, Infostellar contributes to Saber’s extensive infrastructure, which already includes approximately 250 ground station dishes worldwide. Saber Astronautics is a high-impact space engineering company operating in Australia and in the USA. Founded in 2008, Saber Astronautics now operates multiple mission control centres, laboratories and hubs including:
- The Responsive Space Operations Centre (RSOC) and laboratory in Boulder Colorado.
- The Responsive Space Operations Centre (RSOC) in Adelaide.
- Space research and development laboratory in Sydney.
