Nova Systems, one of the four companies to be contracted as a major service provider (MSP) to Defence’s Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), has partnered with QinetiQ and PwC under the contract.

The MSP is a new CASG initiative designed to enable longer periods of above-the-line contracting to provide greater business surety, reducing costs and enhancing value for money outcomes for Department of Defence programs.
Nova Systems is an Australian owned and operated international technology enabler, successfully assisting clients to deliver and support highly complex capabilities and systems. QinetiQ specialises in mission-critical solutions while PwC is one of Australia's leading professional services firm working across advisory, assurance and tax services.
The new approach aims for CASG to more effectively engage with industry to better leverage resources and experience, and ensures an enhanced and sustainable industry capability exists to support Commonwealth work requirements.
Nova Systems Group chief executive Greg Hume said under the MSP, the consortium of three will work with an additional six suppliers to deliver services.
"Nova Systems, working with QinetiQ and PwC, are delighted to be selected as a major service provider focused on delivering improved value for money, increased industrial capacity and enhanced capability outcomes," said Hume.
"Nova Systems, QinetiQ and PwC shares Defence’s commitment to growing the capability and capacity in the sector, especially through specific commitments to engage and promote small to medium enterprises. We will deliver the services together with our six preferred suppliers: Omni Executive, Arup, SMEC Defence, Logistic Engineering Services, AMW Professional Services and BMT Design and Technology."
In response to its selection as art of the Nova Systems consortium QinetiQ in Australia Managing Director Greg Barsby said the MSP initiative will provide better collaboration between primes and SMEs.
