Defence has requested advice in preparation of Minister Pyne’s visit to the US in which he could advocate on behalf of Australian businesses.

Minister for Defence Industry Christopher Pyne is scheduled to visit the United States in early April.
The visit will include calls on senior US counterparts, participation in G’Day USA, a visit to the Sea, Air, Space trade event and some other engagements in which the Minister could raise issues on behalf of Australian businesses.
Defence has asked for advice and information to brief the Minister on including any sensitivities he should be aware of or issues which also should not be raised.
Due to clearance and Ministerial commitments, there is a short deadline to finalise briefings.
The deadline is close of business Wednesday 22 February.
If there are any live opportunities that will evolve, there will be a chance to refine the briefings.
