Over 20 South Australian companies will be showcased at the Avalon Airshow at the Defence SA stand.

Defence SA Chief Executive Richard Price said the airshow is a perfect chance for the South Australian companies to promote their aerospace and space capabilities, as well as “explore potential supply chain opportunities on upcoming projects”.
“South Australia has a dynamic aerospace industry, and the state’s Edinburgh Defence Precinct is home to some of Australia’s most significant Defence projects, including the Boeing P8 Poseidon maritime surveillance fleet, Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) and the Triton,” Price said.
The 24 South Australian companies exhibiting at the Team Defence Australia stand include:

“Avalon will be an important opportunity in exposing our innovative local companies to the broader aerospace community. Strengthening existing relationships and fostering new partnerships will be key to securing supply chain work on these upcoming projects,” Price said.
The exhibition will feature a number of meetings organised by Defence SA, as well as representatives from the South Australian Space Industry Centre and the Defence Innovation partnership.
“Establishing the headquarters of the Australian Space Agency in South Australia at the innovation neighbourhood Lot Fourteen is set to create unprecedented opportunities for our space and defence industries, and we want our companies to be best placed to take advantage of this imminent industry boom,” Price said.
Avalon Airshow is held in Geelong, Victoria, from 26 February to 3 March, and is the largest civil and military aviation, aerospace and space trade show in the southern hemisphere.
