Arseneault has served as COO for several years, being responsible for operational performance and delivering key business objectives for BAE Systems, but will have his role expanded to include leading the Inc. Strategy and Corporate Development team.
As president and COO, his responsibilities will expand to include functional leadership of the BAE Systems organisation.
"Tom has a proven track record leading complex organisations focused on fulfilling critical and technologically challenging missions,” said Jerry DeMuro, CEO, BAE Systems.
“Based on his extensive experience across our international portfolio, this is a natural next step in our efforts to maintain a strong leadership team, and this new reporting structure will streamline Tom’s direct oversight of our business segments and functions for the benefit of our customers, talented workforce and external stakeholders."
Arseneault has previously held senior leadership roles at BAE Systems, including president of the company’s electronic systems sector and executive vice president of BAE Systems’ product sectors.
The company also confirmed that DeMuro will continue to serve as CEO for the US-headquartered organisation.
