Managing director of SAAB Australia Dean Rosenfield has been appointed as new head of Market Area Asia-Pacific, effective 1 January 2018.

The recruitment to replace Rosenfield’s current role will begin shortly, according to Saab.
“Dean has been working to grow and diversify the local business,” Saab said.
“Since taking over in March 2013 the Australian business has continued to grow its footprint both in the defence and security domains.”
Rosenfield’s new role will be based in Singapore.
Saab’s Australian business currently employs more than 370 staff.
According to Saab, its Market Area Asia-Pacific is a key market with large growth and partnership potential.
The company said it is committed to long-term engagement in Asia-Pacific to serve and deliver to the needs of the various countries in the region.
Saab products are in use in a number of countries in the region, including India, Korea, Japan, China (AIS), Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
Saab is present in Asia-Pacific with a wide portfolio of high-tech solutions and products such as the Gripen, remote towers, C4I, EW (self protection systems), signature management, communication systems, surveillance systems and radar systems.
