Formerly Assystem Technologies, Expleo said that its new Australian subsidiary will tap in a market with “strong potential” for the company, noting Australia’s “technological and geo strategic position in the Oceania south-east Asia region”, as well as highlighting Australia’s intention to invest in “securing its military sovereignty”.
Expleo Australia is aiming to capitalise on the opportunities offered by the government in the aeronautics, naval and defence sectors.
“With the creation of Expleo Australia, we are fulfilling a twofold ambition: to be as close as possible to our clients so as to better meet their needs, and to position ourselves in a promising market that offers growth opportunities for the group,” Expleo CEO Olivier Aldrin said.
Expleo Australia showcased their capabilities at Pacific 2019 in the French pavilion as a member of GICAN (Groupement des Industries de Construction et Activites Navales).
The company operates all the way along the value chain, offering design, production, supply chain optimisation and post-development services, and said that they aim to “bring together reliability, agility and competitiveness” to the burgeoning opportunities the Australian defence industry has to offer.
