ASX-listed cyber and information security firm archTIS has secured a 12-month contract worth $4.2 million to provide the Department of Defence with “risk reduction” services.

Canberra-based technology company archTIS has announced that it has secured a $4.2 million contract with the Department of Defence to perform “a risk reduction activity” for multi-national information sharing and cross domain services between warfighter and allied partners.
The firm — which provides services designed to protect and facilitate the collaboration of sensitive and classified information — will be tasked with developing a cross-domain information sharing capability to establish an accreditable architecture pattern for the Department of Defence.
According to archTIS, the undertaking would help minimise security risks and inform the department on future capability decisions and acquisitions.
The $4.2 million contract includes three licenses for archTIS’ cloud platform Kojensi (600 users) worth approximately $760,000, and a $3.4 million services fee.
The contract, which is effective immediately, has an expected duration of nine to 12 months unless extended.
Daniel Lai, CEO of archTIS, welcomed the new agreement, which he said would strengthen Australia’s information security framework.
“I am delighted that archTIS has been selected to lead this risk reduction activity,” he said.
“The need to share, control and trust information in the warfighter domain, between forces and with allies remains a critical requirement and archTIS is well positioned to deliver on this.”
This comes less than three months after archTIS secured its inaugural contract in the defence industry sector with a global military system integrator (MSI), after closing a deal with Northrop Grumman.
Northrop Grumman acquired 50 licences of archTIS’ Kojensi cloud platform with an initial annual recurring revenue of $35,455.
Northrop Grumman will initially use the platform within its Australian and US business development teams, which will allow these teams to collaborate securely and seamlessly on highly confidential Defence tender submissions.
