Global engineering group SEGULA Technologies and South Australia-based defence and aerospace company Axiom Precision Manufacturing have signed a collaboration agreement, aimed at broadening both organisations’ commercial presence in the domestic and international marketplace.
This is SEGULA Technologies’ latest move to expand its footprint in the Australian market, after establishing local ties in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane since 2017.
“This continues SEGULA’s strategy on increasing the company’s global growth by forming long-term partnerships with local industry,” Ben Walhout, Australia’s director for defence and automotive, said.
“Our priority is to continue to build Australia’s sovereign capability for skilled engineering design and manufacturing.”
“When we established ourselves in Australia, we focused our efforts on looking for high-technology, high-capability local companies.”
He added: “We are excited about this partnership and our collective capability to provide turnkey design and manufacturing projects for our customers.”
Axiom Precision Manufacturing general manager Craig Maynard said: “We are thrilled to be working with SEGULA to offer sovereign capability from design to manufacturing and through life support for Australian Defence programs.
“Axiom’s long history of precision electro-mechanical manufacturing is enhanced by SEGULA’s advanced design capabilities.”
