Raytheon Australia announced its 10 Capability Plus program partners.

Raytheon Australia has identified 10 Australian businesses to take part in their industry program Capability Plus. The program aims to assist small and medium-sized Australian businesses win defence contracts within Australia and globally.
It is hoped that the program will allow these companies to develop their offerings across management, engineering, cyber security and ISO as well as providing them with access to Raytheon’s supply chain.
The program was applauded by the Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price, noting that it would be beneficial for Australia’s sovereign defence manufacturing capabilities.
“Raytheon’s Capability Plus program will support local businesses to improve their competitiveness to win defence work here and overseas,” Minister Price said.
“It will support their long-term sustainability and our goal of building supply chain resilience and self-reliance.
“The Morrison government remains committed to ensuring Australian industry benefits from its commitment to invest $270 billion in Defence capability over the next decade.
“Initiatives such as Raytheon’s Capability Plus will help Australian industry realise these benefits.”
The businesses selected to take part in the program are Melbourne’s AOS Group; Canberra’s archTIS and Willyama; Perth’s Calytrix; Adelaide’s Coherics, Daronmont, Redarc and Silentium; Sydney’s JEDS; and Williamtown’s Plexsys.
Daniel Lai, chief executive of archTIS, which is taking part in Raytheon’s Capability Plus program, outlined how big and small businesses are able to work together to build Australia’s sovereign defence industry.
“We are honoured to be an inaugural partner in the Raytheon Capability Plus program to deliver sovereign capability for defence. ArchTIS' participation underscores how integral secure information sharing is to the Defense Industry. Our innovative data-centric, policy-based approach allows for secure compartmentalised access, collaboration and sharing of sensitive and classified information between Defence and industry that supports it," Lai said.
