APC recently worked with a global mining company to engineer and manufacture an autonomous vehicle control module. The project began with the customer approaching APC to take their initial prototype and turn it into a working model. The primary objective was to ensure the unit could perform at 70 degrees Celsius, along with additional requirements to meet the environment. The process undertook involved taking the initial CAD designs and running thermal analysis on the unit using cutting edge software. This provided the starting point to make multiple iterations of the prototypes and reach the answer quickly.

Additionally in-house test facilities including shock and vibe, environment chamber and EMC means APC can offer confidence testing on site with a rapid turnaround and attractive price.
