SMEs from across the country have been encouraged to support Saab Australia’s work to develop new deployable infrastructure capability.

Saab Australia has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from local firms to deliver a responsive, scalable and adaptable deployable infrastructure capability, supporting its broader project pipeline.
Support work opportunities listed in the EOI, released via the ICN Gateway, include:
- water production and distribution;
- waste management;
- mess facilities;
- sanitation and furniture;
- heating and air conditioning;
- drainage and storm water management; and
- fire and rescue capabilities.
“We are seeking to widen our network and provide new entry opportunities for quality Australian businesses into our national and global defence supply chain,” Saab Australia managing director Andy Keough said.
“This EOI provides an opportunity for a broader range of suppliers to join our network, with work packages across a wide range of industry sectors that may not traditionally be involved in defence related projects.”
EOI submissions are due by 30 May 2022.
This comes just a day after Saab Australia signed an agreement with engineering firm Marshall for the delivery of three Military CT scanners for use within the deployable medical modules as part of its JP2060 contract.
The scanners are expected to enable medical staff to undertake diagnostics of the patients.
