Defence Science Technology (DST) Group has welcomed new leaders to its organisation, bringing with them experience across other research centres and prime defence companies.
Dr Ian Dagley, Dr Dong Yang Wu and Andrew Seedhouse will all commence their roles on the organisation's leadership team, effective from July.
After 20 years of experience as chief executive of the Cooperative Research Centre for Polymers, Dr Dagley has taken charge of the DST Group's Science Partnerships and Engagement Division as of 4 July.
Dr Wu has been appointed as chief of DST Group's Aerospace Division and joins the organisation from Boeing, where she was Boeing Technical Fellow (since 2010) and vice president Boeing Research and Technology – China. Dr Wu will commence at DST on 10 July.
Seedhouse will join the group on 17 July after a long and distinguished career at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) in the UK. He will take on the role of chief of the National Security and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division.
Chief Defence Scientist Dr Alex Zelinsky welcomed the three to the leadership team and said that he looked forward to working with them to enhance Australia's Defence and national security capabilities.
