The four businesses operating under the Nova Group — Nova Systems, Geoplex, GVH Aerospace and two10degrees — have been consolidated under one brand, Nova Systems.
The revamp includes the remodelling of its logo and a new tagline — ‘the smarts behind the solution'.
It aims to modernise and streamline the business as it identifies new growth opportunities across the defence, space, and civil sectors both domestically and abroad.
Since its establishment in 1999, Nova Systems has expanded into global markets, now operating from offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Norway.
As part of its new strategy, Nova Systems has committed to employing more Australians and redoubling its efforts to build Australian sovereign capability.
“We are in a unique position having grown to a mid-tier sized Australian owned and operated company – smaller than the foreign-owned primes, but bigger than the Australian owned SMEs,” the company noted in a statement.
“We are continuing to grow our sovereign supply chain with 90 per cent of our 320 local supply chain partners wholly Australian owned and controlled.”
Nova Systems is currently undergoing a business planning process, in which representatives from each of its units are invited to submit options for further growth and investment.
The company’s joint venture with EOS — the Sovereign Missile Alliance — is expected to attract significant investment if the co-operative is selected by the Commonwealth government to spearhead a sovereign Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordinance enterprise.
Nova Systems is also part of Team SABRE — a co-operative formed to secure the contract for the LAND 125 Phase 4 Integrated Soldier System project.
In the space domain, Nova Systems is expanding its Satellite Ground Station Services in the Southern Hemisphere to support the launch of low-Earth orbit and medium-Earth orbit small satellite missions.
The company is a member of the Australian Space Agency and co-founder of the SmartSat Co-operative Research Centre and Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth.
