Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA), has donated $100,000 to help establish a new Legacy National Foundation as part of the group's centenary celebrations.
According to Lockheed Martin Australia chief executive Warren McDonald, AO, CSC, the contribution aims to support Legacy’s work to ensure the partners and children of veterans who sacrificed their lives or health can fully realise their potential.
“Through our work with not-for-profit organisations Lockheed Martin Australia is dedicated to supporting and improving, not only the lives of those that have served and sacrificed for our country, but the lives of their families as well,” he said.
“We are honoured to be able to help celebrate Legacy’s centennial with this endowment in the knowledge that our contribution will assist in continuing their important work supporting veterans’ families in communities throughout Australia.”
Legacy CEO Scott Warr thanked Lockheed Martin Australia for its support.
"We truly appreciate Lockheed Martin Australia’s generous donation towards the Legacy centenary celebrations in 2023," Warr said.
“The contribution will aid Legacy in keeping 'The Promise' alive and empower veterans' families to build their best future.
“To be formally launched in 2023, we envisage the Legacy National Foundation will have a dedicated focus on supporting education and leading-edge research initiatives that directly benefit veterans and their families.”
