A veteran senior counsel of the High Court has been named as a non-executive director on the defence technology company’s board.

Robert Kaye has been named as Electro Optic Systems’ (EOS) latest independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Kaye is a senior counsel (SC) who practised in the Supreme Court, Federal Court and High Court of Australia.
The incoming non-executive director specialised in the fields of commercial and estate/wills disputes.
Kaye also serves on the boards of a number of other private firms, including Magontec Limited and FAR Limited.
EOS chair Peter Leahy welcomed Kaye to the board, adding the company would benefit from Kaye’s expertise.
“The board looks forward to Robert joining the board and the contribution he will be able to make given his extensive commercial and ASX listed experience,” he said.
Kaye’s appointment to the board comes less than a week after EOS named a new chief financial officer.
EOS confirmed the appointment of Clive Cuthell, who is set to report directly to the chief executive officer Dr Andreas Schwer.
Cuthell has served as the CFO of various ASX-listed and multinational corporations, across manufacturing, industrials, satellite communications and fast-moving consumer goods.
His previous roles have seen him work across a number of international markets, including North America, Europe and Asia. He is a member of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He currently serves as a non-executive director of Learning Links, a not-for-profit that helps prevent learning difficulties from later causing disadvantage.
His new role at EOS will see Cuthell oversee the company’s finance function, managing EOS’ finance teams and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver financial growth.
