The system is called the “Percepto Solution”, and automatically runs scheduled air patrols that can provide real-time detection and tracking of humans and vehicles, as well as detecting "anomalies".
“The Percepto Solution provides security teams with reliable, fully automated, round the clock aerial surveillance, and because it is able to cover more ground faster, it is ideal for augmenting guarding patrols and perimeter intrusion detection systems,” said Percepto CEO Dor Abuhasira.
The system comprises Sparrow Drones fitted with dual high-definition and thermal cameras, controlled by PerceptoCore technology that can manage a single unit or a fleet of drones simultaneously.
Percepto also said the Sparrow can be used to “respond autonomously to alerts when integrated with third party systems such as a smart fence or motion detectors”.
“When a Sparrow responds to an alert, a control room operator is able to instantly view real-time camera footage from the drone,” added Abuahsira.
“Crucially, the Percepto Solution can be fully integrated with control room infrastructure already in place including VMS and PSIM systems, to further help the operator take the appropriate action.”
Following completed missions, the drones return to base where post-flight checks are conducted autonomously, with the units then subject to fast battery charging.
Percepto was founded in 2014, with a number of Fortune 500 organisations currently using the Percepto Solution.
