WFEL has commenced a 10-year long partnership with Nasmyth Group for the production of machined and fabricated components for the British Army’s Boxer mechanised infantry vehicle program.

Prime contractor for the British Army’s Boxer armoured vehicle program WFEL has commenced a decade long term supply agreement with Nasmyth Group for the creation and delivery of precision machined and fabricated components for the Boxer MIV.

The Boxer mechanised infantry vehicle is a mobile and wheeled armoured combat vehicle, designed to undertake multi-terrain deployments amid a range of tasks such as infantry transportation and moving mobile medical facilities.

“We warmly welcome Nasmyth Group into our expanding UK Boxer family and look forward to developing a close partnership as we collaborate to successfully deliver this exciting project for the British Army,” Ian Anderton, managing director of WFEL said.

The Boxer MIV program is valued at £2.3 billion, designed to provide some 500 MIV units to the British military.

“For the defence markets, Nasmyth Group manufactures a wide range of complex components for a variety of military applications. We look forward to working with the team at WFEL to manufacture component parts for the Boxer Armoured Vehicle Programme,” Peter Smith, chairman and CEO of Nasmyth Group said.
