The purpose-built inventory management infrastructure will store bulk materials, reducing the reliance on overseas suppliers and the time between order and delivery, according to a public statement from Aero Defence (AD) on 22 May.
The warehouse is the fifth in AD operations housing more than 25,000 products such as consumables, hardware, interconnect, and OEM spares.
Aero Defence managing director Trenten Ralph said the warehouse build allows Aero Defence to provide shorter product delivery times and unmatched customer service every time.
“With the aftermath of COVID-19, we knew the way we conducted business had to change,” Ralph said.
“With increasing wait times on importing parts internationally becoming a burden on Australian aviation and defence businesses, there is a growing demand for storing stock in Australia.
“Creating a warehouse where we can store more products and reduce the reliance on overseas suppliers ensures our customers have a quick turn-around reducing downtime and keeping their aircraft and defence capabilities moving.
“Our (Gold Coast) team are there to help at every step of the procurement process, from finding the right product to ensuring all the correct checks to get your products delivered without hassle.
“We want to make our customers’ lives easier, and we hope this new warehouse will make this process even more seamless.”
