The fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missiles will be delivered to the Polish Armament Authority through Rafael’s Polish industrial partner, Mesko, according to statements made on 6 August.
Mesko has previously supplied more than 3,000 Poland-built and adapted specific variants of the Spike missile to the country under three contracts since the corporate partnership began in 2003.
Dr Ran Gozali, Rafael head of land and naval systems directorate, executive vice-president, said through 20 years of joint work, the companies have helped support the Polish defence establishment in securing the country’s valued assets.
“The Spike missile family has been supporting the defence capabilities of the Polish MOD for some 20 years,” he said.
“We are proud to be building on our longstanding partnership with Mesko and are confident that there will be more agreements in the future.
“Building bridges with industrial partners around the globe is part of Rafael’s global strategy, and here we see how those bridges enable collaboration and better defence for our friends and allies.”
