Under the contract, a team of 20 highly skilled technical specialists provide the Army with a range of services, including project management, systems integration, cyber security, training services and operational support.
KBR, along with local Australian industry partners, has supported both the Australian Army and the Royal Australian Navy in aligning their mission planning capabilities into a single Aviation Mission System.
Vice-president GS APAC Nic Maan welcomed this announcement and KBR’s continuing support for the Australian Army’s Aviation capability, saying: “The capabilities we’re delivering are integral to the nation’s future defence and security.”
Mission planning systems draw on highly efficient software and supporting technologies to enable detailed, integrated planning, precise execution and post-mission debriefing.
KBR will support a host of Army Aviation aircraft, namely the Army’s fleet of MRH-90 Taipan, S-70A Black Hawk, ARH Tiger and CH-47F Chinooks, respectively.
Maan added: “The team is highly skilled, and a significant number are also veterans and serving reservists who are also drawing on their military experience to provide the ADF with the capability it requires.”
KBR employs approximately 34,000 people performing diverse, complex and mission-critical roles in 33 countries. KBR is proud to work with its customers across the globe to provide technology, value-added services, and long-term operations and maintenance services to ensure consistent delivery with predictable results.
