The partnership will see Palantir deliver the company’s Army Vantage capability as part of the Army Data Platform, through to 2028.
The United States Army has been leveraging Palantir software and artificial intelligence since 2018 in a bid to improve mission performance and decision making. Palantir’s Army Vantage has been part of the Army Data Platform (ADP) since 2022.
The US Army’s ADP is used to “collect, catalogue, integrate, analyse and visualise data from disparate source systems to support fact-based and resource-informed decision making”.
It is expected that the agreement will ensure the US can operationalise data across the entire Army, enhancing a range of programs through improved artificial intelligence, better integration and further interoperability.
According to Palantir, the Vantage software enables the ADP to support readiness, logistics, recruiting, as well as force, talent, financial, risk and installation management.
Palantir has explained that the ADP has been developed to enable the integration of new technologies into the ecosystem.
“Palantir is proud to support the Army’s commitment to more efficient, data-driven decisions through the successful expansion of the Vantage program,” Akash Jain, president, Palantir USG, said.
“Our continuous addition of new AI capabilities enables the Army’s own ability to develop applications and incorporate the benefits of effective data analysis across nearly every high-priority mission in the Army.”
Mitchell Skiles, Palantir’s senior vice president, Federal, explained that every data point is essential.
“The Vantage program ensures that every data point is not just collected but understood in the broader mission framework,” he said.
“This level of comprehensive data integration is crucial for operational effectiveness and decision superiority across the Army, where they continue to set the standard as leaders in this space.”
