The Export Awards operate as a two-tier process, with exporters first achieving ACT distinction through the ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards program and then winners progressing as national finalists. As a finalist in the Australian Export Awards, ACT Award winners will be benchmarked against their peers across the country, with winners receiving national recognition for their international success.
Grant Sanderson, CEO of EOS Defence Systems, said, "EOS is proud of this recognition by the ACT government of EOS Defence Systems. We have secured a number of large international contracts over the last two years, however, the true value of these contracts to Australia is only as good as the performance by the manufacturing and delivery team at EOS Defence Systems. Under the leadership of Dr Warwick Holloway and his management team, EOS Defence Systems is delivering outstanding productivity, quality and performance against very demanding targets."
The awards acknowledge the innovation, hard work and success of businesses, large and small, in reaching new global markets. The awards recognise the important contribution that ACT businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.
"The award is a fantastic opportunity for us to reflect on what we have achieved not only over the last year but also the years leading up to this point - EOS Defence Systems is an overnight success that took 30 years to build! To all the staff that have helped make this happen, I thank you. Thanks also to the ACT government and the Canberra Chamber of Commerce for their support," said Dr Warwick Holloway, president, EOS Defence Systems Australia.
