An Adelaide suspension and technology company has partnered with an international prime to develop and manufacture a military suspension and integrated intelligent load handling system.

Magill-based Supashock announced it has partnered with Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) to develop and manufacture the innovative technology for RMMV's range of military trucks.
Supashock was funded by RMMV to develop the system for both Australia and the global market.
The system integrates Supashock’s active suspension technology with an intelligent load handling system and will substantially increase the capability and safety of RMMV’s military trucks in demanding on and off-road environments.
Supashock said comparative testing of its military truck suspension has already demonstrated substantial improvement in the mobility and handling of military trucks, while improving on-road safety and reducing on-board vibration.
Rheinmetall said it sees broad application of the integrated system in its Australian and international programs.
Oscar Fiorinotto, managing director of Supashock, said the company is expecting its technology and partnership with Rheinmetall to benefit the Australian economy

Rheinmetall’s investment in Supashock comes off the back of an Australian federal government entrepreneurs grant that was recently announced by the Minister for Defence Industry Christopher Pyne.
The head of Rheinmetall’s Vehicle Systems Division Ben Hudson said, "We are strong believers in the technology that Supashock has developed as it will provide a step change in the performance of both our tactical and logistic vehicles.
