Exercise La Perouse 25 is underway and providing a significant opportunity for Australian and international participants to observe Exail’s advanced maritime technologies in action.

Several French Navy vessels, including the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, are participating in the multilateral maritime training activity in the Indian Ocean, many fitted with Exail’s state-of-the-art navigation systems.

These navigation systems are expected to ensure safe and resilient navigation in complex maritime operations, according to Exail.

Australian participation is a key feature of the exercise, with HMAS Hobart representing the Royal Australian Navy alongside an impressive array of allied naval assets.

Pierre-Louis Roudaut, sales manager France, highlighted the importance of Exail’s contributions.

“Exail’s technologies enable secure and uninterrupted navigation in complex and contested environments, ensuring vessels maintain tactical advantage,” he said.

Exail’s advanced systems, including inertial navigation systems, data distribution units and Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System provide reliable support for multinational fleet operations.

These technologies enhance navigational accuracy, situational awareness, naval interoperability and deliver robust cyber security protections to counter threats such as global navigation satellite system spoofing and jamming.

“This exercise genuinely offers Australian participants a first-hand view of Exail’s proven capabilities, demonstrating their effectiveness on operational French platforms,” Roudaut said.

“It highlights the critical role of multilateral partnerships in fostering regional stability and operational interoperability.”

Exercise La Perouse 25 involves naval assets from Canada, France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.
