Saab Australia is set to maintain the combat management systems on Australia’s eight Anzac Class frigates until December 2017.

"The Anzac frigates are the trusted workhorse of the Navy and Saab has played a major role evolving the ships' fighting capability over the last 20 years," says Dean Rosenfield, managing director for Saab Australia.
"We look forward to continuing our work with our local partners to ensure the Anzacs continue fulfilling Navy's needs."
Saab Australia’s Anti-Ship Missile Defence (ASMD) system is still one of the words most advanced naval frigate combat capabilities, and with the next generation of work set to start on this platform, it appears the RAN is set to fight and win well into the future.
Saab Australia, part of the Saab Surveillance business area, aims to continue its Australian-based work in South Australia and Western Australia over the coming years.
"Our proven commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, local production and support positions us well as the lead contender for the future frigates," said Rosenfield.
